BLAST FURNACES


ENGETIL has its own technology for prolonging the life of blast furnaces that are completely worn out through continuous use and are therefore producing less and presenting many operational problems.

The ENGETIL technology allows the intervention time for repairs to be reduced and the operating conditions of equipment to be completely restored.

Reconditioning the belt of nozzles and upper part of stack

  • Lowering of charge to nozzle level
  • Mechanical emptying of charge
  • Application of protection to hot coke
  • Cleaning of existing lining
  • Replacement of plates or cooling staves

  • Reconstruction of taphole and reconditioning of hearth

  • Reconstruction of taphole and reconditioning of hearth

Speed of intervention: 15 to 22 days depending on diameter
